How To Prepare Hand Luggage And Suitcases For Ryanair Flights
The luggage can be more or less light, have the shape of a trolley or a backpack, but it is always an indispensable object for all travelers.
Who often flies with low cost airlines , knows very well that Ryanair is characterized by its iron rules in terms of weight and measures of the suitcases, especially that by hand.
Here is some helpful advice on how to prepare the hand luggage and the luggage when you fly with Ryanair , not to get to the airport unprepared to risk having to pay an extra fee.
The new rules for hand baggage with Ryanair – from January 15, 2018
The low-cost airline has announced changes in its policy to transport hand baggage, which will be operational from January 15, 2018. Let’s see in detail what they are and what they entail for travelers.
If you have not purchased priority boarding with 2 hand luggage
If, during the booking of your flight, you do not choose to pay the supplement for the “Priority and 2 hand luggage” option, you can bring with you only a small hand baggage , such as a woman’s handbag, in the cabin or a small package containing purchases made at the airport; the bag must not exceed the dimensions of 35 x 20 x 20 cm , equivalent to the measurements of a bottle of wine or of an object of the same volume. You will need to place this baggage under the seat in front of you, and do not use the luggage racks.
The biggest baggage , trolley or suitcase or backpack of the dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm, can be transported for free as the company had allowed up to now, but not in the cabin with you: at the boarding gate will be in fact labeled by Ryanair employees and transported in the hold at no additional cost.
You will therefore not have to pay any surcharge to be able to travel with the 2 bags allowed by the company, but only the smallest one will be allowed as hand baggage. So remember that if you have something in the trolley that could serve you during the trip, you’ll have to take it out once you get to the boat! Calculate also the necessary time, once arrived at destination, to retrieve the baggage on the appropriate tapes.
No change for the maximum weight of the baggage of 55 x 40 x 20 cm which is 10 kg, so if you have a scale (even a weighing person is fine), do the test and make sure not to exceed this limit. Do not make the mistake of arriving at the airport with a too heavy hand baggage: make sure you give up something or put it in your hold baggage, otherwise they will still have you carry your hand baggage and pay a supplement .
